Biography:
Kesha Boyce Williams was always attracted to the communications and culture aspects of CCT. As a part-time student, she was able to learn about the challenges of making sustainable social change in developing countries in Technology, Culture and Development. She enjoyed the creativity that was applied to class projects and assignments. She began immediately applying the knowledge she gained through the CCT program when she graduated in December 2004. In 2005, her development knowledge was very useful when she became the Web Content Manager for Catholic Relief Services (www.crs.org), an organization that serves the poor in 99 countries. She served there until relocating to Ohio.
Her research on usability, user interface design and heuristic evaluation gained in Human-Centered Solutions: Designing User Interfaces is very also useful in her position as the Manager of Web Services at The Cleveland Institute of Art. She’s been in charge of managing the key communications engine for a school that has served a Northeast Ohio cultural leader for almost 125 years.
“CCT is a wonderful program because the flexible design allows you to delve into research projects that investigate current social problems and the innovative curriculum exposes you to concepts and problems that are immediately understandable in the working world. I’m constantly reminded of what a great asset my study at CCT has been to me.”
