Shane comes to CCT and Georgetown after a couple of years away from being a student, although he claims he’s always learning.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he decided gain some “real life” experience. Since that time he has been extensively traveling and working all around the U.S. and world, most recently coming to Washington D.C. after a couple of years in Miami where he was teaching international students.
“I’m excited about the opportunities and experiences that this program offers. CCT presents such a unique curriculum, while also offering the opportunity to engage with such a diverse group of peers, ranging from not only different cultural backgrounds, but also academic backgrounds and specialties. I’ve found that CCT provides the platform for a greater exchange of ideas and promotes a more cooperative learning environment.”
Shane is interested in focusing on cultural studies while at CCT, but also looking at how technology is changing and shaping our educational systems and how we learn in general.
