Michelle Jaconi

Status: Alumni 1997
Thesis: No thesis on file.

Biography:

Michelle Jaconi spent her time in CCT concentrating on how technology was changing the role of the press in America. She specifically focused her inquiry into how interactivity was creating a new check and balance on the "fourth branch" of government. During her time at Georgetown, Michelle covered politics as a intern for National Journal's www.PoliticsNow.com and researched stories for WUSA-TV. She also received a fellowship from the Washington Center for Politics & Journalism and interned at NBC's "Meet the Press with Tim Russert."

After presenting her thesis, Michelle was hired at NBC's "Meet the Press," where she has remained for the last ten years. In her current role as Producer & Political Analyst of the program, Michelle appreciates the need for the press to utilize technology to improve its ability to reach its audience without sacrificing the integrity of the product.
