Biography:

Adam started at CCT after spending four years as a technical writer at Citrix Systems, a software company. After taking the course "Code War: Policy Implications of Internet Architecture" his first semester at CCT, Adam made up his mind that he wanted to focus on Internet policy. He volunteered on a number of projects with the Future of Music Coalition and during the summer between his first and second year at CCT, he particpated in the Organization of American States' NetCorps program, spending six weeks training small hoteliers in the Bahamas on basic computer skills. His CCT thesis, about the copyright issues involved in online music services, received an award of distinction from the CCT department and was presented at the 2003 Telecommunication Policy Research Conference. After CCT, Adam went on to get his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University and is now a member of the Washington, D.C. bar. He also has a Bachelor of Arts with honors in English from the University of Florida. While in law school, he wrote and filed comments with the FCC identifying numerous problems with its proposed Diversity Index. This paper was later published in Volume 3, Issue 1 (2007) of I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. He currently works as a technical writer/analyst at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He is also webmaster for IP Justice, an intellectual property cyberliberties organization, and webmaster and technology advisor for the Distributed Computing Industry Association, a trade association for the peer-to-peer software industry. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, and SCUBA diving.
