Biography:

Barbara Arca attended Universidad de Lima where she studied Communications Sciences, specializing in strategic communications and marketing.

"After graduating University I decided to take a year off, so I moved to Charleston, South Carolina and got to travel and explore the east coast of the United States," she said. "Including D.C. and Georgetown University ... that is when I decided that I wanted to go there for my Master´s degree."

At CCT Barbara focused her studies in the Cultural Studies course cluster. Her thesis, "Disrupting the Gender Binary: Discipline and Struggle on MySpace," is a Foucaultian analysis of the popular social networking site.
