Biography:

Melissa Fannon lives and works in Boston, MA. She has over ten years of experience as a marketing and communications professional. She is a highly skilled, motivated and successful events planner for both corporate and non-profit events. She has superlative business writing and communication skills, as well as contract negotiation, brand development, market research and analysis capabilities. As an event producer, she handles events from the brainstorming process through the planning stages to the day-of-event execution. Melissa brings creativity, innovation and professionalism to every event. She is very active in women's and children's charities and events such as The Ellie Fund for breast cancer's annual "Oscar Night America" gala, the YWCA Boston's Women's Leadership gala and Fidelity Cares Heart Walk and Denim Days. She believes volunteerism and charitable giving are vital to support those in need in our communities. In her current role, she arranges for many of Fidelity's top executive leaders and notable keynote speakers to speak at annual conferences and organizes team building exercises. Melissa has superb multimedia presentation and graphic design skills.

Melissa received her Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University's Communication, Culture and Technology Program in 2000. She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. She has foreign language skills in Dutch, Russian, Spanish and French, which she studied in college and learned while traveling overseas. She studied abroad during the CCT program in Paris (Telecommunications in Europe), visiting London, Geneva, Bonn, Brussels and Amsterdam for lectures and cultural exchanges. Upon completing her Master's degree in 2000, Melissa worked overseas in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for a software company. She has also traveled to Greece, Italy, and Spain.
