Biography:

Todd Williamson viewed the CCT Program as a way to blend a background in media with an interest in public policy. While in the program he focused on a media and politics curriculum, which helped to prepare him for his current position, as a White House appointed special assistant in the USDA's Rural Development Agency. Todd plays a role in a number of important issues for the agency's Rural Housing Service including legislative policy and interagency communications. Prior to joining the USDA, Todd served on the staff of Congressman Henry C. "Hank" Johnson (GA-4), where he covered multiple areas that included financial services, budget, banking, housing and education legislation.

Todd’s interest in media and politics extends beyond his job in the Obama administration. He also serves as editor of ClubRelaford.com, a political lifestyle web magazine that grew out of a first semester CCT Project. The hardback magazine prototype was developed for an introductory CCT course in the Fall 2005 semester. Todd later converted his project into web format and added a strictly political theme that covers politics as a lifestyle on the national and international stage.

Prior to enrolling in CCT, Todd graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Hampton University in Hampton, VA.  He interned in the Technology and Policy division at Edelman Public Relations as a first year CCT student and later worked part-time in the Consumer-to-Consumer Marketing department at The Washington Post.
