Marlo Salaita graduated from the University of Michigan in 2006 with a double major in Communication Studies and Arab Studies. She studied Development in the International Political Economy through a study abroad program at the London School of Economics, and currently works on congressional affairs at the Embassy of Jordan in Washington, DC while pursuing her graduate degree. Marlo is focusing on Media and Politics in the CCT program, as well as working on a graduate certificate in Arab Studies. Her research interests include the use of new media technologies in advancing political communications and homeland security, the media’s influence on international security, and the effect of new media technologies on the Arab socio-political landscape.
