Certificate Programs
Students may use elective courses to pursue a certificate program to complement your studies. Certificate options are currently available in the following areas.
Honors Certificate in International Business Diplomacy
Offered by the Karl F. Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy in the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. CCT students must take four of the six required IBD courses in programs other than CCT. CCT students are also encouraged to take Business, Accounting, and Finance early in their IBD coursework.
Students should plan to take the gateway course for the certificate in the first or second semester. Students need to take least one or two certificate courses each semester to finish the degree and certificate requirements in two years. Two CCT courses can count as your IBD electives. So, when selecting CCT courses you want to take, pick ones when possible that also fulfill IBD. With the exception of undergraduate and language courses, courses that fulfill approved certificate program requirements also fulfill CCT elective course requirements.
Graduate Certificate in Arab Studies
Offered by the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies in the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. Students are required to take five courses related to Arab studies and pass a written or oral Arabic proficiency exam administered by the Department.
Certificate in Eurasian, Russian & East European Studies
Offered by the Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies (CERES) in the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. Please contact Dr. Jennifer Long, Associate Director of CERES for information.
