CCT Prof. Jeanine Turner named 2015 Outstanding Researcher
On October 30, 2015, CCT Professor Jeanine Turner was awarded the Kitty O. Locker Outstanding Researcher Award by the Association for Business Communication at its annual international conference in Seattle, Washington. The award recognizes an ABC member whose research has made an outstanding contribution to the business communication discipline.
Cited for praise were Dr. Turner’s work on new communication technologies in healthcare and on “multicommunicating,” that is, how people are using new communication technologies to engage in multiple conversations near simultaneously. With an interdisciplinary approach bridging technology and communication, Dr. Turner’s groundbreaking research has appeared consistently in prestigious journals and is regularly cited by other researchers.
As recipient of this year’s award, Dr. Turner will give the Outstanding Researcher Address at the international convention of the Association for Business Communication in 2016.
