Area of focus in CCT: Japanese cultural and cinema studies

What did you do before CCT? I went straight from my undergraduate program to CCT

What activities do you participate in at CCT? I'm a buddy to incoming CCTers, assisting them with questions on student life.

Why did you choose CCT? I was interested in combining quantitative and qualitative research, however, I didn’t find a chance to do so in my undergraduate study. Since I started to become interested in movie studies when I was a senior, I thought it was better to apply for a graduate program with an interdisciplinary nature. CCT’s interdisciplinary focus caught my attention by helping me to fulfill my goals.

What surprised you about CCT? The interdisciplinary nature of this program means that you will have endless opportunities to explore your interests. Each day I have a different way of explaining what CCT is, as I get to know it more.
