Cost of Attendance

Figures are in U.S. dollars and apply to the 2024-2025 academic year. All fees are subject to change each year.

Tuition is charged based on the number of credits in which you enroll. The total number of credits required for a CCT degree is 36.

Most CCT classes count for 3 credits each. Full-time students take a minimum of 9 credits per semester and finish within 2 years.  Part-time students take 6 credits per semester and finish within 3 years.

Tuition per credit for 2024-2025: $2,550.00

Tuition for full-time students taking three 3-credit courses each in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025: $45, 900 ($2,550 x 18 credits)

Tuition for part-time students taking two 3-credit courses each in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025: $30,600 ($2,550 x 12 credits)

Graduate Student Activity Fee: $25 (per semester)

Student Health Insurance : $3,430 (estimated yearly cost)

Funding Options

You may be eligible for CCT Scholarships and Fellowships, as well as other external awards. All options require that you apply by the stated deadlines to be considered for funding. Please note that in some cases, you may need to apply a year prior to starting your program.

CCT Merit-based Scholarships are offered once a year to Fall applicants who apply by January 15. These awards are open to full-time incoming students, regardless of country of citizenship. Funding goes towards off-setting tuition costs only and may be renewable upon satisfactory completion of the first year. CCT scholars have a talent for academic analysis, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving as well as evidence of having applied these skills to projects outside the classroom.

CCT offers paid fellow positions with Gnovis to full-time incoming students, regardless of citizenship, who apply by January 15 for Fall entry. Gnovis (nō vĭs) is a peer-reviewed publication run by CCT students. For more than twenty years, Gnovis has been regularly publishing leading-edge graduate student scholarship on the interrelated nature of emerging technologies, popular culture, new media, politics, and more.

To apply for a paid fellowship position on the Gnovis team, please complete the Supplemental Information section of the CCT application, which includes the submission of a Statement of Interest as well as a blog writing sample. 

CCT offers fellowship positions with CNDLS to full-time incoming students, regardless of country of citizenship. These are open once a year to Fall applicants who apply by January 15.

The Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship  (CNDLS) at Georgetown is responsible for a number of projects relating to faculty and graduate student professional development, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and teaching with technology. The CNDLS fellows will help with the overall operation of CNDLS and work on a variety of projects involving pedagogical and scholarly innovation.

Up to two CNDLS fellowships are offered each year. During the academic year, fellows will hold a Graduate Associate position for which they will be paid an hourly rate of $19.50 and be expected to work 15-20 hours per week. They may earn up to a maximum of $14,352 throughout the academic year. There is a possibility of continued employment during the summer and second academic year at the same hourly rate. Fellows must maintain a full-time academic load over the semesters that they hold the CNDLS Graduate Associate position. To apply, candidates would complete a Statement of Interest in the CCT Supplemental Information section of the Online Application.

CCT offers Berkley Center Graduate Fellow – Videographer & Editor positions to full-time incoming students, regardless of country of citizenship. These are open once a year to Fall applicants who apply by January 15.

The Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs (BC) at Georgetown University seeks a more just and peaceful world by building knowledge and advancing cooperation through research, teaching, and dialogue. It is part of the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement (OVPGE), which supports an international community of scholars and students based in the nation’s capital that advances the common good through research, teaching, and outreach around global issues. The Berkley Center Graduate Fellow – Videographer & Editor will help with overall BC/OVPGE media production and work on a variety of projects involving creative and promotional content.

Up to one Berkley Center Graduate Fellow – Videographer & Editor fellowship is offered each year. During the academic year, the fellow will hold a graduate assistant position for which they will be paid an hourly rate of $19.00 and be expected to work between 15-20 hours per week. There is a possibility of continued employment during the summer and second academic year at the same hourly rate. Fellows must maintain a full-time academic load over the semesters that they hold the Berkley Center Graduate Fellow – Videographer & Editor position. To apply, candidates would submit their resume, cover letter, and portfolio in the CCT Supplemental Information section of the Online Application. Interviews will be conducted remotely via Zoom as part of the recruiting process.

CCT scholarships and fellowships are very competitive. We recommend that all applicants also research non-Georgetown funding sources. Eligibility requirements and deadlines vary but you should expect to apply a year prior to enrolling in graduate study. It may also be helpful to research financial aid and scholarships from your home country. For example, CCT students have received awards from the China Scholarship Council and the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT). 

Eligible Georgetown University faculty and staff may use Tuition Assistance Benefits  to cover tuition costs at CCT. Students using this benefit may complete CCT coursework on a part-time basis.

U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be eligible for need-based federal student loans. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) . Contact Georgetown’s Office of Student Financial Services  for information and tips.

Many students work on campus in hourly-paid positions. The rates are typically around $19-$20 an hour. The Office of Student Employment manages a database of on-campus employment opportunities. International students with work authorization  may work on campus up to 20 hours per week.
