CCT Student produces song celebrating Aung San Suu Kyi and the Burmese democracy movement

A current CCT student in collaboration with some of her former undergraduate colleagues has produced and written a music video honoring Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and the Burmese democracy movement. The song is entitled Lady, Lady

This past year it was my pleasure to work with a group of students at Berklee College of Music, while I was also a student there, on a song celebrating Aung San Suu Kyi and the Burmese democracy movement. I am the songwriter and producer of the song, but I worked with 17 musicians from over 10 different countries on the piece.

If you do like the song and would like to support the cause, please feel free to post it on your site or blog, tweet about it, send it to as many people as you want, etc. We are, fortunately, able to give her the song directly.

We hope that in some small way our song can bring hope and inspiration to those who have suffered under the junta and the ‘new’ ‘civilian’ (but actually military led ) government. Through music, we wish to show that the outside world still cares and supports the people of Burma and their fight to live in a free land.

Hopefully, one day all people will have the right to live in a free society, under a representative government that upholds and recognizes universal human rights.“
