Orbitz features CCT Faculty, Dr. Jeanine Turner’s Spring Break Connection Tips

It’s not just spring break for students Georgetown, but families across the country take advantage of school breaks to connect to each other through quality time activities, according to Orbitz.com. CCT’s very own Dr. Jeanine Turner (new window) shared her helpful tips with Orbitz.

Orbitz found her tips so helpful that the travel booking company decided to quote Dr. Turner in its recent spring break press release. “Over the past 15 years, the advent of new communication technologies has caused a decline in “real” connections within families. When we are on vacation it is easy for us to trick ourselves into thinking we are connecting with family and friends because we have gotten on an airplane, checked into a hotel and are sharing a physical space,” said Dr. Turner. “Vacations can be a wonderful way to unplug and connect, but the critical thing is to share an activity together that creates a memory of experiences.”
