Kat Weiss (G’26)

The programming and networking events available to CCT students have been a blast both socially and professionally. I also love how supportive all of the faculty members are!

Kat Weiss

Academic Background: BA in English Literature with minors in Anthropology and Women’s and Gender Studies.

Area of focus in CCT: New Media, Cultural Studies, & Political Communication.

What did you do before CCT? I was an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida and I worked in educational support.

What activities do you participate in at CCT? I am currently pursuing independent research with Dr. Owen, and I am interested in getting involved with Gnovis!

Why did you choose CCT? I chose CCT because of its interdisciplinary nature and the wide range of class options offered each semester. I am able to take courses in my areas of interest while also providing opportunities to try (and learn!) new things.

What surprised you about CCT? I was most surprised by the number of out-of-class opportunities provided to students in the program. The programming and networking events available to CCT students have been a blast both socially and professionally. I also love how supportive all of the faculty members are!
