CCT Alumnus Presents in TEDx Fulbright Social Innovation Challenge

On April 5th, CCT ’13 alumnus Jeremy Pesner and Fulbright New York chapter president Josephine Dorado presented their project, ReACTor, at the TEDx Fulbright Social Innovation Challenge at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. ReACTor will be a mobile app that allows users to seek activism opportunities related to news stories that interest them. They will also be able to “play the news” within a game framework, enabling them to cooperate with or compete against one another. Both the idea and presentation itself were very well received by the audience and Fulbright community. Pesner, Dorado and their board of advisors are currently seeking funding to develop a prototype. “It was a very clear, real-world justification of the mobile app teamwork we did in 505,” Pesner stated. “It turns out that any general pitch for a product works much the same way.”
