CCT alum Dan Davis spoke at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics
On September 8, Dan Davis (CCT 2015) shared principles drawn from current research on online learning environments during a talk at Georgetown’s Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
Dan is a learning design researcher and PhD candidate in Learner Modeling & Learning Analytics at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. His talk, titled “Towards Positive Collaboration in Online Learning Environments ,” discussed research on how the design of asynchronous classes impacts how students are able to engage collaboratively.
Dan’s doctoral focus on online learning environments grew out of his 2015 CCT thesis “Mapping Student Activity Data to the Visual Design of Online Learning Environments “.
