Dr. Bode presented to a virtual infodemic consultation with the World Health Organization

On April 7, Dr. Bode presented to a virtual infodemic consultation with the World Health Organization. The WHO is interested in improving their messaging, and understanding how to best navigate the modern information environment. Dr. Bode discussed her research on correcting health misinformation on social media, and made recommendations for the WHO in terms of what role they might play in doing so. Specifically, they can correct social media users directly, partner with platforms in promoting correction, and produce easy-to-share, simple, and accessible information and graphics to facilitate other social media users engaging in correction as well.
