Academic Background: Business (Finance and Marketing) and Communications.

Area of focus in CCT: Technology policy, particularly technology diffusion and the intersection between the public and private sector.

What did you do before CCT? Prior to CCT, I have had a six-month internship as a research assistant at Harvard CBDB Database, doing database design. During my time there, I learned the basic thinking behind database design and attended the International Digital Humanity Conference in Berlin that surveyed the current state of digital scholarship.

My previous experiences in financial modeling, equity research, and international market analysis have cultivated a strong understanding of how global economic policies impact business landscapes.

What activities do you participate in at CCT? My upcoming internship at the Office of Technology Commercialization offers a hands-on perspective on the commercial pathways of innovation, allowing me to explore technology transfer and intellectual property protection—topics central to my thesis, The Social Impact of Innovation: The University Ecosystem of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Protection.

Why did you choose CCT? I chose CCT because I wanted to study tech policy, and the Interdisciplinary nature of the program blends research methodology in social science and other related fields.

What surprised you about CCT? I was surprised by how tight-knitted CCT is. Everyone is super supportive, and the professors are very invested in our academic successes.
