CCT Affiliate Faculty Member Mohamed Zayani’s Research Reaps Two Book Awards

CCT Affiliate Faculty Member Dr. Mohamed Zayani has received two major book awards for his recent publication, The Digital Double Bind: Change and Stasis in the Middle East, coauthored with Joe F. Khalil. The book was recognized with the Sue DeWine Distinguished Scholarly Book Award from the National Communication Association (NCA) and the Best Information Technology & Politics Book Award (Honorable Mention) from the American Political Science Association (APSA).
Published by Oxford University Press in the Oxford Studies in Digital Politics Series and available as Open Access, The Digital Double Bind is a landmark study examining how the Middle East is navigating the promises and uncertainties of digital transformation.
Dr. Zayani is currently working on a new coauthored project with Khalil on how digitality is reconfiguring territoriality, forthcoming from Cambridge University Press.
