Area of focus in CCT: I focused on Sports for Development/Diplomacy and the role social media plays in sports initiatives.

What did you do before CCT? I was a Program Manager at World Learning, an NGO that facilitate and implemented cross-cultural and professional international exchanges for the U.S. Department of State.

What activities did you participate in during CCT? I worked at the BioMedical Graduate Office processing MA and PhD applications.

Why did you choose CCT? I was attracted to CCT’s interdisciplinary approach which allowed me to explore a range of disciplines and provide me with a holistic understanding of the world.

What surprised you about CCT? The diversity of the students’ background coming into the program and the projects they implemented while at CCT.

What are you doing now? I am an Independent Scholar and Sport for Development Consultant working on a range of projects related to gender, race, religion, social media and sport. To learn more about my work please visit nida-ahmad.com.
