Academic Background: B.A. in International Affairs (International Development)

Area of focus in CCT: Global Communication

What did you do before CCT? I graduated from college in 2020 and worked for an international development non-profit located here in Washington, D.C.

What activities do you participate in at CCT? I participated in CCT Tech Tours, where we got to meet CCT alumni working in many different fields. I am also a teaching assistant for CCTP-505, one of the CCT core classes on interdisciplinary research.

Why did you choose CCT? I was attracted to CCT’s diverse course offerings on many practical, employable skills and the flexibility of the CCT curriculum. I like that I was not only able to tailor a curriculum to my areas of interest within the CCT program, but also take advantage of many of the complementary courses offered by other graduate programs at Georgetown to round out my study.

What surprised you about CCT? I am surprised by the many different perspectives and methods we get exposed to in classes here at CCT. Faculty members come from diverse academic and professional backgrounds which really enriches the dialogues that happen in the classrooms.
